What is D2XCEL?
D2XCEL is an ambitious initiative funded by the European Commission to bridge the scale-up gap for Deep Tech in Europe. Over the course of its rollout, the programme will:
- Launch two open calls to select 100 high-potential ventures across 10 targeted market opportunities.
- Activate a pan-European network of 200+ stakeholders — including investors, lead customers, and innovation hubs.
- Provide tailored mentoring, helping founders strengthen market readiness and business maturity.
- Facilitate access to strategic public and private financing, global commercialization channels, and expert support.

Europe’s Deep Tech sector is home to some of the world’s most promising scientific breakthroughs — but scaling these innovations remains a challenge. D2XCEL addresses this by fostering collaboration, investment, and market traction across the continent.
